In 2016, UCSF created the Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) to align independent physicians and UCSF Health-employed physicians in a collaborative effort to improve patient care, increase quality and reduce overall health system costs.
By partnering with other leading health care organizations in the Bay Area, UCSF is able to deliver a full continuum of affordable, integrated care—from primary to specialty care—for patients who look to UCSF as a provider of comprehensive health care services, and create a high value, regional system of care.
